Con todas las diligencias de mi mudanza a Bélgica, lo que menos tenía era TIEMPO. Pero como puedes leer en el correo, el Reto Cardigan consistía justamente en armar un look específico con esta clásica pieza, en el menor tiempo posible! Además, Mariana Camacho es una de las diseñadoras venezolanas más generosas, divertidas y talentosas que conozco y no podía decirle que no. Así que decidí aceptar el reto y al día siguiente ya estaba recibiendo mi hermoso cardigan azul índigo. El fondo de la bolsa decía St. Barts Getaway, lo que me hizo pensar que era el nombre de una colección de Mariana. Armé mi look y al día siguiente ya estaba en el fabuloso estudio fotográfico de mi querido Guillermo Felizola.
With all the work to do about my move to Belgium, the last thing I had was TIME. But as you can read at Mariana's email, Cardigan's Challenge was just about create an especific outfit with these classic garment, in just two days! Also, Mariana Camacho is one of the most kind, fun and talented Venezuelan designers that I know and I couldn't say no. So I accepted the challenge and next day I was receiving my lovely indigo blue cardigan. The bottom of the bag said "St. Barts Getaway", wich made me think that it was a collection name from Mariana Camacho. I created my look and the next day I was at the fabulous photo studio of my dear Guillermo Felizola.
Sin embargo, cuando le muestro mi look a Mariana, me preguntó si había recibido la inspiración correcta. No entendía nada hasta que me dijo que la inspiración de mi look estaba en el fondo de la bolsa donde recibí el cardigan... Tonta que no entendí en el momento, con miles de cosas en la cabeza. Pero valió la pena mi despiste, porque ahí mismo Mariana me armó un look muy chic, con las codiciados accesorios de Lola, ideal para robar miradas en la prestigiosa isla de St. Barts. Bajo el encanto del maquillaje de Gabriel Hacedor, cada una de las 7 fashion bloggers que participamos brillamos con nuestro propio estilo.
However, when I showed my outfit to Mariana, she asked me if I've received the correct inspiration. I didn't understand till she told me that my outfit's inspiration was in the bottom of the bag where I received my cardigan... So silly I didn't get it at the moment, so millions of things in my mind by that time (well, all the time). But my little forgetfulness was worth it in somehow, because Mariana created a very chic outfit for me in just minutes, with the most delicious accessories from Lola, perfect to steal people's attraction at the privilege island of St. Barts. Under the spell of Gabriel Hacedor's makeup, every single of the 7 fashion bloggers that accepted this funny challenge, shine in our own different styles.
